The Anonymous Tip
Trump made fun of my mom. The worst part is that I would not have known this if it was not for an anonymous tip. However, this is not the first time that anonymous sources have uncovered deplorable statements. Recently, it came out that Trump disrespected soldiers by calling them ‘losers’. Many question the validity of anonymous tipsters. However, it makes perfect sense to stay anonymous when you consider the toxic climate Trump has made. It can be incredibly dangerous to speak out against the President right now, so you should expect most sources to be anonymous. That is just the reality we live in. With the help of these anonymous sources there is no limit to how much we can learn about the president.
Vetting the Source
Nowadays, an anonymous is just as trustworthy as any other source. In today’s news economy, experts have come to the conclusion that, when vetted, all sources are created equal. However, due to the sensitive nature of these topics, news agencies are not required to release information about their vetting process. With this in mind, I can assure you that the person who informed me about Trump’s transgressions is very trustworthy. I should not be expected to provide more information to back up my claims. Furthermore, it would be immoral for me to reveal the full extent of my off the record conversations. You will just have to trust me.
Damning Circumstantial Evidence
Beyond the ironclad anonymous source, the circumstantial evidence against Trump is damning. The fact is, him making fun of random journalist mom just sounds like something he would do. This would not even be the first time that he was caught doing something like this. For example, he once mocked a journalist for their disability. It seems that making “jokes” at journalist’s expense is part of his MO. As a result, when someone came to me and told me in confidence that the president made sexually explicit comments about my mother, I had no choice but to believe them. It is scary that we have a president that is so unhinged that a story like this can exist. If what he said about my mother is true, who knows what he said about yours.
